Our Homestead Journey

I was born and raised in the Midwest until my husband and I decided that after a year of marriage, it was time for an adventure! We dreamed of trading in those harsh winters for warmer days, getting closer to the water, and building our own little homestead. So down south we went, landing in a beautiful beach town off the East Coast – and we couldn't have been happier!

About 9 months after settling in, we got the most wonderful news: we were expecting our oldest! As we prepared for our daughter's arrival, we started house hunting and found the perfect spot – a cute little half-acre ranch not far from the intercoastal. Sure, the property needed some serious TLC after years of neglect, but we could absolutely see its potential!

A years later, we were thrilled to welcome our son into the family. But our story took an unexpected turn when we decided to try for one more baby. On our third attempt, we were blessed beyond measure with twin girls – born a little early at 28 weeks. It's been quite the journey, but our hearts are so full! Having four children, led us to search for a slightly larger house to accommodate all of us.

For as long as I can remember, I've had this deep passion for timeless traditions – baking from scratch, sewing, and gardening. Over time, that passion grew into a dream: building a real homestead, raising chickens, and sharing how anyone can do this too!

We've always imagined our kids running barefoot through the backyard, plucking fresh berries straight from the garden, and collecting eggs from our chickens. Now, with our growing family, that dream feels more real than ever.
